Hi all. I was hoping someone could help me out. I found a product online called the retrode which reads roms and save files from retail carts. It connects with USB and appears as a regular mass storage device. Has anyone else here made something similar? I'd like to have a go at making my own. I have seen several rom dumping projects with schematics, but they appear to use some kind of Windows based software that interfaces with the reader. I want something that appears as a mass storage device with the rom and save file inside. I would like to make a Raspberry Pi based Retron type thing to play my old games. My knowledge of electronics is minimal and of software it is non-existent. Maybe my best option is to just buy the retrode, but that's no fun.
Any help is appreciated and I'll listen to ideas.
Chris.
