Need help with 64M Flash Cart For Gameboy Color
by on (#115785)
Hello. I'm new here. I searched through the forum looking for an answer I couldn't find it so I made an account in hopes someone could guide me. I just purchased a 64M flash cart for my gameboy color and am a total noob at this. I have a few questions. Thanks in advance for any help.

1- I was reading about Mottzilla's menu. How would I go about flashing this to my cart to utilize it's multiple saves feature?
2- Does it come with some sort of drivers and desktop software to transfer ROMs over from my PC to the cart?
3- Any other advice for a newbie regarding this matter?

The menu comes in the form of a replacement flasher program. All you do is download the flasher program with my menu in it. You still use the standard drivers that come with the original software. The only other advice I can think of is that if you have any trouble getting it to work on your PC, try a PC that is running Windows XP instead of Vista, Windows 7, or Windows 8.

I was wondering how is this menu actually used? Are there any extra steps needed to activate save management? I have tried to look up a video tutorial but haven't been successful.

If you are using the flasher program that has the new menu, you can access the save data manager at the very first screen I believe. There will be on screen instructions. The menu has two parts to it, game select, and save management. The only thing you may want to do the first time using it is to go into the save manager and erase any garbage data that might exist. That or use the write sram feature to upload a blank (all zeroes) file. But save backup is automatic. So is loading your saves. If you're having trouble, be specific about what you don't understand or doesn't seem to be working, and what you have tried.
