Hey there, thanks for having me on your lovely forum, I mainly work in hardware, but my other half is a programmer so I have help here too
I'm looking for help on my latest project, I want to be able to synchronize the wonderful music tracker softwares written by Neil Baldwin, to midi drum machines etc, using the arduino.
Now, this might seem ambitious, but it's been done on the gameboy via the link port, and i'm reliably informed that the famicom should be able to send out basic 5V pulses via the interupt connection that is labeled on the circuit board? I dunno, it's just hear-say as of now.
Obviously the software won't have been written with this in mind, so it may require some alteration, but if this is the case, we'd be quite willing to send him the finished version for no money, I want to keep this open source, and Neil gives his software, with a request for a donation to charity, so it would be churlish not to.
So, anyone have any idea how we get started? I've built arduinoboy circuits before, using the nano, so i'm familiar with the layout, let me know what you think, and thanks again for your hospitality, it's a nice place you've got here.
